Praising God for...

unexpected help from a neighbor.

Today, as I was working in the 90+ degree heat, my neighbor offered his riding mower for me to use. This greatly sped up my yardwork, and I was thankful to finish much more quickly.

Thank you, Lord. You knew exactly what I needed today.

I feel you about the weather in the South! One day while I was walking back from class at USC (the real USC that is - University of South Carolina), the afternoon thunderstorms started. I had no jacket and no umbrella. Halfway through my walk, a lady driving by stopped and gave me the umbrella out of her car. It was the most random act of kindness I have experienced. I later ended up giving the umbrella away in a similar fashion. Asking the person to also give it to someone else when they saw the need. There are good people out there... and it is sad that it suprises me to met them.

I'm with you, Tina...it is sad that when people are kind to us, we're surprised. :(

Thanks for relaying that random act of kindness, Tina.

It reminds me of a verse: Matthew 6:3-4.
